I got this e-mail today, I thought it was kind of cute.

A MOTHER PASSING BY HER SON'S BEDROOM WAS ASTONISHED
TO SEE THE BED WAS NICELY MADE AND EVERYTHING WAS PICKED UP. THEN, SHE SAW AN ENVELOPE PROPPED UP PROMINENTLY ON THE CENTRE OF THE BED.

IT WAS ADDRESSED "MOM."
WITH THE WORST PREMONITION, SHE OPENED THE ENVELOPE
AND READ THE LETTER WITH TREMBLING HANDS:

DEAR MOM,
IT IS WITH GREAT REGRET AND SORROW THAT I'M WRITING THIS. I HAD TO ELOPE WITH MY NEW GIRLFRIEND BECAUSE I WANTED TO AVOID A
SCENE WITH YOU.
I'VE BEEN FINDING REAL PASSION WITH BARBARA. SHE IS SO
NICE, EVEN WITH ALL HER PIERCINGS, TATTOOS, AND HER TIGHT MOTORCYCLE CLOTHES. BUT IT IS NOT ONLY THE PASSION, MOM. SHE'S PREGNANT, AND BARBARA SAYS THAT WE WILL BE VERY HAPPY, EVEN THOUGH YOU DON'T CARE FOR HER AS SHE IS 20 YEARS OLDER THAN I AM.

SHE OWNS A TRAILER IN THE WOODS, AND HAS ENOUGH FIREWOOD FOR THE WHOLE WINTER. SHE WANTS TO HAVE MANY CHILDREN WITH ME AND
THAT'S NOW ONE OF MY DREAMS, TOO.
BARBARA TAUGHT ME THAT MARIJUANA DOESN'T REALLY HARM ANYONE AND WE'LL BE GROWING IT FOR OURSELVES AND TRADING IT WITH HER
FRIENDS FOR ALL THE COCAINE AND ECSTASY WE WANT. IN THE MEANTIME, WE'LL PRAY THAT SCIENCE WILL FIND A CURE FOR AIDS SO BARBARA CAN GET BETTER.
SHE SURE DESERVES IT!!
DON'T WORRY, MOM, I'M 15 YEARS OLD NOW AND I KNOW HOW TO TAKE CARE OF MYSELF. SOMEDAY I'M SURE WE'LL BE BACK SO YOU CAN
GET TO KNOW YOUR GRANDCHILDREN.

YOUR SON, BILLY

P.S. MOM, NONE OF THIS IS TRUE. I'M ACROSS THE ROAD AT BOB'S HOUSE. I
JUST WANTED TO REMIND YOU THAT THERE ARE WORSE THINGS
IN LIFE THAN MY REPORT CARD THAT'S IN MY DESK, CENTRE DRAWER.
I LOVE YOU! CALL WHEN IT'S SAFE FOR ME TO COME HOME!!

Much Ado About Nothing

I guess it is about time I wrote something again. I haven't really written anything since Saturday. I have been really busy, but not with anything interesting enough to blog about.

We did a supper for the seniors at our church on Saturday. It went over really well and the seniors had a lot of fun. I was up making buns at 7 am and finished cleaning the church kitchen around 9 pm, so I spent a lot of time cooking. Plus I earned myself a nice burn on the arm when I was baking buns that still looks horrible.

Sunday, I went to church, and I don't think I did anything else. My brother and his wife came to church for the first time, which was really nice.

Monday, hmmmm. What happened Monday? Oh I know, one of my good friends from high school started doing her practicum at the school I am at, so I finally have someone my age to hang out with. That is fun.

Tuesday, Tammy (my friend) got to shadow me for the day, so we spent the entire time together. We also had drama practice after school. It is getting better.

Now today, Wednesday. I am just killing time before my mom, dad, brother and his wife arrive and we go to an accoustic music evening at the school. It starts at 8 and it should be pretty good.

Maybe I will write more when something of actual importance happens to me.

Does Anyone Watch American Inventor?

Gabe and I started watching American Inventor the other night. It is from the same makers of American Idol, but with inventions. (I am sure I needed to explain that) Anyways, the other night there was a guy on there who invented this crazy blue stuffed thing and it was called "My Therapy Buddy" When you push a button, it says, "Everything is going to be alright." It honestly is really creepy, and the guy who was in there with it was way too much into this doll. He hugged it and rocked back and forth while it said "Everything is going to be alright" to him. I almost peed my pants laughing watching this guy. You can actually check out the therapy doll at http://www.mytherapybuddy.com

I've been pretty busy...

and I will still be busy for the next couple of days. We are having a supper for the seniors at our church tomorrow and I am in charge of everything. Today I was making pies, stuffing, peeling turnips, etc. Now, it is almost 1 am and I am making buns. I have to have 100 made for tomorrow, as well as I have to have 30 lbs of potatos peeled by early morning. Sounds fun, huh? I will write some more when I have time. Sorry so short.

Another Day Gone By

Sorry I never posted anything yesterday. I went to work in the morning, had drama practice over noon hour, then immediately after school, we went into Lloyd to get groceries, which turned into a very long trip. Ken and Jen asked us if we could come watch the kids while they went and visited their friends who had just had a baby boy.

It was great to spend some time with my niece and nephew. They get so pumped to see Gabe and I. We are the favourite aunt and uncle among the kids, which is awesome. Both Gabe and I love kids so much, so we get to have a lot of fun with them. We are waiting for Ice Age 2 to come to theatres at the end of March, so we can go swimming and to the movie. Alli knows how to get her way with is, she even told me the other day, "I was born to be your boss." Where do kids pick up these things? She is right, though.

I am just home on my noon hour, making a CD for drama. We have our dinner theatre on April 4, so it is getting super close.

Oh, by the way, Gabe's interview went really good. When he came home from the interview, ge got a call to go for another interview, which is awesome. He should know if he got the job or not by next week. Please keep praying for him.

I am loving this.

Believe it or not, this is actually quite liberating. No one really knows that I actually have a blog, except a few people. I am not prepared to have everyone I know look into my thoughts, even though I have not shared much. One day I might need to, and I don't want to give up this comfort that I have.

I am changing my templates quite frequently because I keep screwing up on the html. When will I ever get it figured out? Maybe I should just fix the links and let it be. Some things are better left unchanged.

Tonight we have our bible study. Gabe and I host it here at our house. I just finished doing some baking for our bible study, so the house smells really yummy. If only they could make really yummy smelling candles that actually smelt like fresh bread or chocolate cake. That would be so disapointing. Can you imagine going to someone's house and the whole place smells like delicious chocolate cake, and it is only a stupid candle? Gabe and I both love the smell of fresh cut grass, and we used to buy a candle called "green grass" that smelled so close the actual smell of cut grass. We loved it. I haven't been able to find that candle around anywhere anymore.

I have this Friday off from school, which is really exciting because Gabe has this Friday off too. We are going to go snowboarding! As much as I am jelous of your spring, Crystal, I would never trade it for the feel of fresh powder under my snowboard.

Well, I am off to change my links again. That is the one part of doing this blog that I am sick of. Those stupid links.

Finally!

Okay, so to make everything viewable again, I had to change my template and thus, start all over again creating this page. Maybe this time I should actually learn the html instead of just copying from all over the place.

Still nothing.

I have deleted one of my posts from yesterday that still isn't showing up. I wrote two yesterday, and although they were both in my post edit section, neither of them show up when I view my blog.

I am just writing a short blog to see if I can see anything I am posting today.

The Day's Events

Does blogspot screw up a lot? I have written a couple of posts today, and they will not show up when I view my blog. Also, others comments are not showing up, or a post will say there is one comment, but when you click on it, there is more. It is sort of frustrating. Oh well. What can you do?

Today my brother Ken, his wife, Jen, my nephew, K.C., my niece, Alli, and my new baby niece Torie, came out for a visit. Then my mom and dad and my brother Pat, and his wife, Jana came over. We had a nice big supper and spent some time visiting with eachother. It was a lot of fun. My new baby niece is super sweet and absolutely loves having people sing to her. She smiles and coos whenever you sing; it is so sweet!

Gabe has a job interview on Wedneday. Please pray for us that it will go. This is his chance to get on with the company he really wants to.

I want to apologize for all the spelling errors on here, I never spell check. I just write what I feel like writing. When I look back, I see a lot of errors.

I just found out that one of my good friends from high school, Crystal W., is expecting! She is due on October 31. She is really excited and I am excited for her.

I would really like to get a digital camera. I would love to be able to take pictures of my beautiful nieces and nephews to put on here, as well as other stuff that seems really meaningful to me, but is probably meaningless to the rest of the world. It may be meaningless, but it is my blog, and I can do what I want. Haha.

That's about all for now. Peace out.

Things I want to do with my life

I just wanted to start to make a list of things I want to do with my life. I hope by putting it out there, that I may actually be able to achieve some of these things:

*travel the world * take voice lessons * have children * lose 20 pounds * pay off my student loans * buy a house * learn French * be a better musician * develop a healthier lifestyle * write a book * read my bible everyday * pray more * remember birthdays * speak positively and not negatively * sky dive * bungee jump * be less afraid * snowboard more * finish my bachelors degree * become more organized * keep in touch with old friends * overcome my fear of needles * drive across Canada * be more forgiving * buy new furniture * respect other's opinions no matter what they may be *

Boy, I could go on all day, but these ones are at the top of my head. What are some of the things you would like to do with your life?

I just found this picture of when Buddy was a puppy. How cute is he? Posted by Picasa

They were playing too much country music at my sister-in-law's bachelorette party, so I took a black marker and blacked out a few of my teeth so I would look more like a hick. My sister, mom, and sister-in-law did it too. I just won't post pictures of them. I will only embrarass myself. Posted by Picasa

My sweet dog, Buddy. Posted by Picasa

My brother, James, stood up on my side, as one of my bridesmaid. He wore a red tie and died his mohawk red, to match the bridesmaids dresses. I just wanted to get a picture of his hair on here. Posted by Picasa

We look so gross! Gabe had a pair of nylons on his head. I also don't think I had brished my hair for a while! This picture was taken after a long weekend at mom and dad's. Posted by Picasa

Picture

I figured out how to get a picture on here. Is the only way to get a picture in your profile to post the picture on here first? I am having a a little trouble figuring that out. Also, changing my links. I know that you have to go in and change the HTML, but where the heck do I find the html to change in the first place?

I am feeling a little bit sad right now. I left my msn on "away" last night and went to bed. Sometime during the night, Ryan, who is like a little brother to me, came online. He is in Afghanistan right now with the Canadian Armed Forces. It is really scary stuff. I have recieved a few e-mails from him, but it would be so good to talk to him in person. We all miss him like crazy over here. I really wish I would have been online...

I just woke up and even through I told myself last night that I wouldn't come online until my house was tidied up, here I am, and my house is still messy. I just want to get this blog thing figured out. I always used to use msn space, and it is so easy. They do all the work for you. I guess I have complained about this blog enough for today. I am going to go clean my house now. Seriously.

My First Blog

Okay, so here it is. My very first blog. I feel somewhat at a loss for words, which is really strange for me. I guess it is about time I hop on the bandwagon. I know so many people who blog everyday and I love reading them, so I guess it is my time.

I am totally new at this, so please forgive me if things don't look all that great. I haven't even figured out how to post pictures yet. Hopefully I will get this figured out soon.

OH YEAH!!! HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY! I am part Irish, so I have always been quite proud of this holiday. Not to mention that the story of St. Patrick is amazing.

I am going to try to figure out a few more things around here now, maybe soon there will be something worth looking at here.
